Just a little update from my previous blog ^^
Last time I didn't include a swatch of Kate's Glam Trick Eyes in BR-1 because my sister took it when i was taking the pics. Here it is:
I think this set lasts longer than all the other Glam Trick Eyes colours for some reason, as I explained in my previous post. I love the look it gives as well (I used this eyeshadow on valentine's day).
I like GD-1 less, because the lighter pinkish shade shows up chalky and matte. I found that throughout the day the colours seemed to disappear even though I was using the same make up base as usual. It kind of reminded me of the YSL eyeshadow duo I mentioned in the previous post but a little better ><
My package finally arrived!!!!!! I was so excited I was jumping up and down when my sister's fiance waved it in my face (Ricky was present at the time.. he was abit clueless as to why I was so happy HAHA).
The packaging is SOOO pretty!! I really like how Visee Jewel Crush Eyes has a mirror, something Kate's eyeshadow palettes lack in severely. However, the excitement quickly died down once I opened it up

.
To be honest, I was hoping that this could be something that gives me more dramatic eyes, but instead the colours were very neutral. I think I would have been better off with E6 since it has a dark brown shade that helps add some depth. Too late now ><
The shadows themselves are really silky and glide on so easily in comparison with Kate's eyeshadows. Kate is rougher to touch, and takes a few more applications to get a definite colour. The two lighter colours on the left show up somewhat different when you swatch it onto your hand, but when it goes on the eyes, they show up pretty much the same colour, which kinda sux... Nevertheless, I guess it makes for a good everyday eyeshadow, but don't expect anything dramatic to come out of this palette.
One other thing I was wondering about while waiting for Visee's eyeshadow to come was the size. So when I got it I put it next to Kate's Glam Trick Eyes palette ^^ (I don't really know why I automatically compare these two ranges, but they seem to have similar concepts). They are around the same size with Visee only being slightly longer than Kate. It's very nice and compact hehe
Eyeliner:I also got my hands on the Kiss Me Heroine Make Eyeliner.
They aren't kidding when they say it's super thin. It really is SUPER THIN!!! I understand that this eyeliner is waterproof, but I don't think it is very budgeproof. I tested by rubbing it with a bit of water. Of course it won't come off if you just pour water over it, but with just a little bit of rubbing it comes straight off in little rubber looking flakes, nice and clean! No smudges with this eyeliner! Go to this
site to see a comparison of Kate eyeliner and Kiss Me eyeliner.
Speaking of eyeliners, I would really like to try the Revlon Colorstay retractable eyeliner. I'm too poor at the moment to buy it. Instead I shall leech off my mum and get the Avon retractable eyeliner and mineral foundation since she is ordering from them too WAHAHAHAHAAHA
I've used Maybelline's Unstoppable retractable eyeliner before, thin and thick version. It said it was waterproof, but it smudged throughout the day on my eyes. I kind of gave up on crayon eyeliners after that. For some reason I decided to take a look at Revlon's one recently, completely skeptical but I was stunned. It takes a few seconds to set (every eyeliner needs time to set!), I drew it on and it was SUPER smooth, then looked around at other make up before trying to rub it off. I rubbed and rubbed on my hand until it was red and it just stayed put without any fading or smudging.
These are the grey and black colours on my hand probably around... 12 hours after I put it on, after all the rubbing, and after a shower. Might I also mention that I use an exfoliating glove to scrub everyday. Still looks pretty good, and comes off very easily with oil-based make up remover!
I recommend Neutrogena oil-free make up remover and Loreal waterproof eye make up remover

. I do not recommend Swisspers eye make up remover pads, Simple eye make up remover, or Clarins eye make up remover. They all gave me terrible terrible allergic reactions-stinging, watery, bright red eyes for hours!
Mascara:Target was having a huge sale just 2 weeks ago, and I was running out of mascaras. I had read on various internet sites and saw some good reviews on Maxfactor's 2000 calorie mascara. I prefer waterproof mascaras because they typically last longer and don't weight my eyelashes down as much. I am thinking that MF's Aqua Lash is the wateproof version of 2000 Calorie??
I was happy with this mascara!! It's first application was abit WTF because the brush wasn't really getting the mascara, but after a few more dunks into the tube the brush was working great! I've been gifted with relatively long and full eyelashes in comparison with most asians, but not all mascaras I've tried helps enhance my eyelashes. This mascara helps enhance my eyelashes, is very light, volumizes, and makes my eyelashes nice and neat for the whole day ^^
Sorry about the dark scary picture of my eyes, my camera sucks (yes I'll just blame the camera and not my photo-taking skills

). This was taken at around 11:30pm after a full day out. I left the house at around 8am that morning I think, and I didn't do any touch ups throughout the day.
Tip: Your first coat of mascara is most important. Make sure all the eyelashes are going the right way before the mascara sets. If it's messy on the first coat, that will be the end of your dream of having neat eyelashesn for the day.
My new eyelash routine has now become:
1. Clip eyelashes to make them nice and curly
2. First coat of mascara
3. WAIT for it to dry completely
4. Clip again to recurl the now partially flopped eyelashes
5. Second coat of mascara concentrating mostly at the tips to make them look fuller
DONE!
